I can read quite quickly, but that doesn’t mean I finish books quickly. I can stay focused for some amount of time and finish an article very quickly, but books are something else. In this article I disclose the tehniques used to leverage this ability.

In the spirit of fast reading, I will also abstain myself from using unnecessary words from this point forward.

I use the Jiffy Reader browser extension to read faster. This extension works by highlighting certain parts of words, so as to allow us to “autofill” the missing parts and, as a result, read faster.

Jiffy currently does not work with PDFs, being designed for browser use. So I convert EPUBs and PDFs to HTML, where I can then read them faster.

I will probably make a script that does the same thing as Jiffy Reader, but for PDFs, so that I can print books and read them in a physical format. Piracy forever.
